Like could this Daniel even flee from him, globally? With his health issues and the pandemic? IS THERE EVEN TIME FOR THIS IN THE MIDST OF A VAMPIRE COVID UPRISING? Is Daniel at a point in his life where he isn't so concerned with mortality and would he even bother running? The story is about a global cat & mouse stalking game that takes place for years and steals this poor idiot's youth, and we're not going to get that. And it's not a matter of them being together in this universe, just, like, the things I enjoy about their story cannot happen here, they just can't. I don't wanna be a downer LMAO but like I've said a bunch of times Armand/Daniel is my ship and like it's really hard to sit through this show knowing that we're not gonna see it.
